The basis of İKÜ Cartoon and Animation education is to offer students today’s rapidly changing communication and technological facilities in a theoretical and applied education package. Accordingly, the leading professionals and academicians of the Department of Cartoon and Animation aim to equip students with a critical approach and the ability to perceive multi-dimensionally and to analysis. In the Department of Cartoon and Animation, education will be given regarding all the stages of the planning, preparation, and marketing processes of creative projects.

The Department of Cartoon and Animation, which is planned to be established within the İstanbul Kültür University Faculty of Art and Design, aims to raise individuals who are equipped with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge, possess critical and esthetic values, can use new communication tools effectively, integrate digital media and multimedia components (maya, 3D max, after effects etc.) with the opportunities of technology and produce content for these networks.The Department of Cartoon and Animation will include courses that give preparatory information about the profession such as character design, animation techniques, visual design, illustration, graphics, cartoons, and animation as well as project-internship oriented applications.
